Light grating on the
optic nerve
Relief in the cold car
where breath
collects on
glass
in
spears that
grow and battle
each other for turf.
Garage door closes
Nerves are singing
through watery eyes.
Crunch of the tires
on worn
tired snow,
drive
by
traffic
rushing to
holiday bliss.
The cold seat
touches skin
electric intensity.
